Head performance coach and owner Kirk Vickers has been voted two times by Men’s Journal as one of the Top 100 Trainers in the United States. He received his BA in Sports Medicine and Exercise Physiology from Central Michigan University. As an athletic trainer, he has worked with a number of professional teams including the Detroit Red Wings (Head Athletic Therapist), the Detroit Drive (Head Athletic Trainer), and the Arena Football League where he was the Coordinator of Medical
Kirk earned a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and Exercise Physiology from Central Michigan University. After graduating Kirk spent several years in professional sports as the trainer for the Detroit Drive and the Pittsburgh Gladiators of the Arena Football League. After his time in the AFL he went on to become the Head Trainer for the Detroit Red Wings. Over the years he has developed a strong reputation in the community working with many high level high school, collegiate, club and professional sports programs as well as individual athletes including many high level soccer programs and individual athletes. Kirk is considered to be an expert in injury prevention and performance enhancement. He has many years of clinical experience with a vast knowledge of biomechanics allowing him to improve athletic performance through movement and exercise while increasing resistance to injury.
While he has worked predominantly with athletes, he has also worked with & helped the morbidly obese, paraplegics, amputees, MS, those who’ve suffered traumatic brain injuries, and countless others. One of Vickers’ greatest strengths is his ability to design exercise/fitness programs that are appropriate, safe, and generate results.
Kirk currently owns and operates TRIAD Health & Fitness, a high performance fitness and training facility in Farmington Hills, MI. His facility not only specializes in working with athletes of all levels, but also anyone wishing to improve their level of health, fitness, and/or day-to-day function.
Brian Markowicz, Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Brian Markowicz is the head strength and conditioning coach at Triad Performance. He specializes in creating professional programming for teams and individuals of all levels. He currently upholds a C.S.C.S, USAW and a Master’s Degree in sports physiology and exercise. Brian’s wife (Elena) is also active in the athletic industry and they are proud parents to a beautiful daughter.
Michael Stacy, Human Performance Coach
Michael has a robust background in human performance from both a physical as well as mental perspective. A former Hockey Goaltender Michael works with the Flint Firebirds (OHL) as Team Psychologist. Michael formerly worked with Barwis Methods as an athlete performance coach where he worked with numerous professional and collegiate athletes. Michael earned a B.A. in Psychology/Behavioral Neuroscience (Purdue University) as well as M.S. in Kinesiology/Sports Psychology (Texas Christian University).
Dane Laird, Member Sales and Service Specialist and Performance Coach
A Farmington Hills native and product of Triad Performance Training, Dane grew up playing hockey and soccer. He moved on from Harrison High School and played two years of college soccer at Schoolcraft Community College and two more at Madonna University, where he graduated with a B.S. in Psychology. Having spent the last three years working under Kirk, as well as having a background in home care, he plans on continuing to have a positive impact on our facility and clientele.
Rob Murphy, General Manager, Membership Development and Athlete Coach
Rob has worked in a variety of sales, marketing, operation and leadership roles with Junior (Plymouth Whalers and Muskegon Lumberjacks) as well as NCAA Hockey organizations (Central Collegiate Hockey Associations) for close to 15 years. Additionally Rob has previously worked in the athlete performance space with D1 Sports Training. Rob is a certified performance coach and has degrees from B.S. Bowling Green State University, M.S.A. Central Michigan University and is completing a M.S. in Exercise Science; Health & Wellness from California University of Pennsylvania.
Kathy Iaquinta, Member Sales and Service Specialist
Kathy has been with Triad for close to five years and serves an integral role as a member service specialist overseeing scheduling, accounts receivables and front-office administration. Kathy is married to John and is the mother of two terrific boys (Ryan & Aaron), three daughters (Nicolle, Danielle and Alyssa) and Grandmother to two Grandsons (Jayden and Tyler). Kathy loves watching football and being physically active.
